Black water plumbing leak.

So it sounds like you will have to remove the toilet, remove the screws that hold the hold the flange to the floor, then tighten. Will have to be sure the toilet bolts line up parallel with the rear wall again, but should not be an issue.

OK, so the black female threaded pipe is called the floor flange. The drip is coming from the threads where the male threaded pipe screws into. It looks like just a half turn on that pipe would tighten it up enough to stop the drip.

The mechanical joint shown above will work as long as there is room. Cut the pipe, separate the pipe and slide the MJ over the pipe, align the pipe again, then slide the MJ on the pipe so it strattles the cut, tighten the clamps and you are done. If it is a small crack and you can see it and access it, you can use ABS glue. Spread onto the crack and done. This actually melts the ABS and will repair a small crack. Do not use silicone. It just wont last.

If it is the toilet floor flange leaking then you have to remove toilet, remove screws thru floor flange into floor before it can be removed/repaired.
Floor flange threaded portion may be cracked.
I would remove flange and replace. A small crack can be repaired with some epoxy but if it doesn't work or cracks again in future it will just be harder to remove/replace.

The toilet floor flange seal is a foam gasket that rarely leaks water......they are more for sealing out odors as the water drops straight down vs flowing down.

If leak is on a pipe fitting (coupling) it can also be repaired using epoxy.
If repair doesn't work then pipe will have to be cut into and a new coupling glued on plus longer pipe.

That's a great suggestion, how long are those collars ?

I have never seen them at HD or Lowes.

We had a leak on our 45 deg pipe also. What I did was replace from the toilet down to halfway on the 45 deg part and used a rubber pipe collar that has a clamp on each end (union) to join my pipe. Not knowing exactly where you're leak is, It would be hard to give suggestions. Pics would be good.

OP back, I'm thinking the epoxy route myself. Or maybe some silicon caulk, wouldn't be as permanent a fix in case I get ambitious and take the entire line apart and star from scratch.

The fitting that's leaking is the 4" threaded one directly below the toilet.

I was going to suggest trying an epoxy first too. JB-Weld would work great if it is indeed a small crack and not a connector of some sort.
