- Eng208ExplorerI had a Prodigy and now have a 13 with the integrated unit. I like the integrated unit much better. Try it, I'm betting you will like it. I don't know what the future will hold as far as repair or replacing if something goes bad with it, but it's either install an aftermarket now or wait and do something when that time comes. It's good enough I'll gladly wait.
- wm5eExplorerI also have a 2011 and the build in controller works great. It's easy to adjust and I've never had a problem. I drove a hotshot goose neck all over the country and it always worked well.

I had a 2010 and a 2014 and the 2014 is way better. It works harder as you push the brakes harder and it works great. I would give it a try before surgery.
Good luck
Agree...the 2010 was "ok"...the 2012 was better and the 13' is even better...don't know why, just going by my own personal experience towing the same 5er over the same terrain. - NC_HaulerExplorerI had the Prodigy, but when I got the Ram trucks with the built in brake controller, I canned the Prodigy and haven't looked back...The 2013 in my sig works great, zero issues and does everything the Prodigy did...
I'd give the brake controller in the Ram a shot first and see how you feel about it after that. - retispcsiExplorerI had a 2012 Ram 3500 and the brake controller was great. I believe they upgraded the system in 2012. It has individual setting for heavy and light towing as well as electric or electric over hydraulic. My 2014 is just as good. I am on my shake down cruise with my new mobile suites with disc brakes. My controller works very smooth. Can't say enough about disc brakes.

Good luck - gclossExplorerI had Prodigy P2 on my 2004 Ram 1500 & 2007 Ram 1500. When I purchased my 2012 Ram 2500, the integrated brake control was standard on my truck. After a few adjustments of the controller and adjusting the brakes on my TT, I found the IBC to be comparable to the Prodigy controllers. I sold the Prodigy on Craigslist shortly after being satisfied the IBC would do the job.
- Cummins12V98Explorer IIII have a 2011 and it is as good as a Prodigy in my opinion. I changed to a MaxBrake and it is a far superior product. My Dad has a 2012 and his controller works great and is fully adjustable from light to heavy and electric or electric hydraulic.
If I get a 2015 RAM I will be selling my MaxBrake to some lucky soul! - Boxer_LoversExplorerX2 on the 2012 IBC.
- FLY_4_FUNExplorerMy 2012 IBC is excellent. I also had a prodigy that I was going to use, but once I tried the OEM controller I sold the prodigy.
