- mpierceExplorerImpossible to tell. Do you do a lot of city/hill driving? Or, is it mostly flat land on long hauls? Do you back off, and coast into stops and slow downs, or do you use brake all the time? Some might get 30,000, others a couple hundred thousand. Both normal.
- deleted-2ExplorerWe had our last fifth wheel for 14 years and never replaced brake shoes.
I estimate 18000 miles on that trailer. - ken_burkeExplorer

They may have to be adjusted ( I don't think that they are auto adjusted). Wheel bearings must be checked. - rhagfoExplorer III

If you have a diesel TV with an exhaust brake, they should last a very long time. I hardly use my service brakes at all any more with the Pacbrake. - Chuck_GailExplorerOur last TT was getting close at 40,000 miles.
- Old-BiscuitExplorer III70,000 miles (+)
Or at least that is about how much are on ours and still good - hmknightncExplorerIn all my years of various trailers (about 30 years) I have never worn out a set of trailer brakes. I have had to replace parts and things due to problems

I was talking to a tech when we had a problem with ours and he said he had never seen any worn out, but magnets do fail and other problems occur we had a pad come loose from the shoe.
