GVWR isn't used in any legal since to determine a pin weight or any weight.
I have the same truck and the same size trailer.
The trucks brakes are a function of the vehicle GAWRs at a minimum. Most 2500 diesel trucks have the same brakes as a 3500 SRW truck.
The truck has a 6000 lb rawr and 5200 lb fawr = 11200 lbs of braking performance.
Assuming your trailer has 5200 lb axles = 10400 lbs of braking performance.
Added together the combo has 21600 lbs of braking performance at a minimum. The most the combo weighs is around 18000 lb combined....so you have plenty of reserve braking for that size truck/trailer.
