Brand new owner

Hello everyone,

I just bought my first camper!! It is a 2006 Holiday Rambler Savoy 28RLS. I wanted to asked about this "waviness" in the exterior walls:

Is this something I should be worried about?

after the damage was done. (sorry to bust your bubble).

    EDIT:

    Think about this:
Would you buy a house that had a new roof, but the walls were crumbling?
  • I am in the process of getting the loan finalized. The purchase price was 5,500.
Nothing inside indicated that it was leaking, and the owner claimed that the roof was recently sealed.
  • I belong to the "Run Forest, Run!" club. Delamination. Walls are separating as everyone said above. It will only get worse, unless you want a real project to occupy your time.

Now ... if the price is cheap enough ... well ... given some time and money, everything is fixable.
  • Of course they let you bring it home....hoped you would be so blinded by the joy of the thing you wouldn't notice the issues. The fact you didn't see it before hitching up to it tells me your likely not prepared for the repair ahead. I vote bring it back and thank them for their time.

  • Looks like water managed to seep in. I have seen few trailers that don't have that issue to some degree or other. I'm sure others will disagree. As to whether or not it's a deal breaker, I couldn't say without knowing the price and how the rest of the unit is.
  • ^^^ what those 2 said... either delamination caused by water intrusion, or classic delamination caused by poor assembly/materials... I would PASS
  • PASS......

    That is 'delamination'
ie: separation of exterior wall from interior wall studs/insulation material

It has come unglued and will only get worst

Either from 'bonding issue' or from 'water intrusion'

    RUN!
  • Take it back and run away. It has serious water intrusion problems and is most likely rotted on the inside.
  • To clarify about to buy, negotiated selling price, and owner allowed me to tow the camper home.
