I have a 2015 sprinter, 15 inch rims. The tires on there are Load Rating D. I'd like to go with an E rating. Goodyear Endurance tires were recommended and I'm not sure if there is anything out there that might be better as far as durability and wearability.
So far, they seem to be doing well. Going up in rating sure can't hurt, though I'd still run them no less than 70 psi. A load chart might say you can run lower, but often tire wear can be accelerated by doing so. Personally, I think there are some alternatives that are just as good, and considerably cheaper. FWIW, ST tires almost =never= wear out; they =age= out.
Bpounds mentions the Maxxis, which was the go-to tire for a long time, but they've seemed to have slipped the past few years. Many more reports of failures in the past 2-3 years and they're still only rated to 65 mph. While you may not want to go faster than that, a tire that's rated for a higher speed is pretty sure to be a better built one than one that's not.
