It's not a big deal to repair fiberglass.
Not a big deal repairing fiberglass. But on a laminated RV wall panel the filon is not like your typical fiberglass, like a truck cap or boat. Its 1/16" thick and behind that is 1/8" luan plywood, behind that beaded foam. You could cut out the filon and luan, dig out some foam, and plaster it back in with resin or something. But that may very well crack in the future as its surrounded by wood, which expands and contracts at a different rate, and its always going to be visible as a repair. They're going to need to attempt to match paint to a non painted (molded in color) surface surrounding it.
I would just live with it before accepting some type of half assed repair attempt if no crack is visable, Or I would buy a different unit. Jayco builds more than one of a particular model / floorplan, and they also sell them at other dealers. If I was dead set on that model, I would find one elsewhere without the defect even if it meant traveling further, but it sounds like the OP already had his mind made up before posting.
Send that picture over to Jayco and ask them, I personally would love to hear their response as to why it's like that, and how it made it out the factory door with it.
