Buying local vs the national dealers
It may be time to begin thinking of replacing our fiver. If we do start searching, what experiences do you folks have regarding buying from a smaller local dealer that is closer vs a big national deal...

In our case, we got a 30 day paper tag from the selling dealer. When we got back to Texas, registration cost us no more than if we had bought it in Texas. Certainly no additional taxes; the only additional fee was for a safety inspection/VIN verification which the Texas selling dealer would have either eaten or buried in the selling price in his "document fees".
