Buying my first Toy Hauler

We looked at some with a separate garage but we didn't really like it. We would rather have more people in the same room together.

I definitely like the Forrest River Stealth models too. I'm starting to narrow down my search to a few models. Just need to find the right deal now. I would be willing to drive for the right one now that I know what I like.

I don't know much about Heartlands but it seems fine. The only thing I personally don't like is that it doesn't have a separate garage, but I know that's a personal thing, and once you get into the separate garages in TT's, you get heavy too.

So I finally got out and went to a couple dealers today. I found one that I haven't seen before in all my searches, and its beautiful. Its a Heartland Torque T29. Im thinking this might be the one but I was wanted to hear if anyone had any input on this.

Congrats!!! Looks like a great camper. I'd love an outdoor kitchen... the inlaws have one on the back of their TT and it makes the indoor kitchen almost obsolete unless it's raining. You could even get a counter height fold up table to make an "L" with the outdoor kitchen to provide lots of prep space. It has some nice sized water/black/gray tanks too for a camper of that size.

Deal is sealed, but info and pictures still on the web site, we can walk around 2 sides of the bed, and the bedroom has a door. Looking forward to the outside kitchen, saw a lot of people using theirs over the 4th. (I was tenting with grand daughter.) Also before we got the 350, we pulled ours with an F250 and it was just fine, I would say we were close to 10,000 with the RZR back there. F-150 was a nightmare haha!

Yes I'm finding this out that counter space doesn't come easily in a toy hauler. Unfortunately its a deal breaker for the wife. I'm willing to give up some haul space for this though. My toys are pretty small and don't require much space.

I guess I should also start looking at the weights on these. I believe my capacity is 12000 pounds.

I'm a wife, and yeah, the lack of counter space in our current one really sucks. I end up using the table on the dinette a lot, or more often than not, I just cook outside. We have a folding table that I set up as my "kitchen" along with our Coleman stove/grill. That's one of the main things I want to upgrade when we move on up to a 5er... more counter/kitchen space. But looking at that Carbon 31, I would think that would have enough to do some basic cooking, especially if you get one of those cutting boards that can fit over part of the sink. And, it at least has an oven! Ours doesn't.
