Just called B&W and they are sending me a new shock for my RVB3300 hitch. Wow. No money required, will be here on a couple days. Now, how do I replace it? Has anyone done this? Does it require taking the whole upper end apart?
Yes. I've had one sitting in my garage for several years because of this. Once we finally get power to our shop, I'll get the hitch torn down and get mine replaced.
Love B&W's customer service. I have the old 16k hitch and every 3-4 years they have to send me new u-bolts when I break one off. I keep the unbroken ones for just-in-case. :-)
