My new truck has a drop in liner in the bed. Will a Companion work without cutting the bed liner? I know I will have to cut it for the ball to come through but didn't know if there was an adjustment on the Companion to allow for the thickness of the bed liner.

  • It will start to flatten out the ridges and then you will get more and more movement.
  • the install instructions for mine say to not do it. Spray liner is OK, but not the molded drop-in type
  • I wouldn't want to use mine with a bed liner between it and the truck.
  • The above post is correct. Using them with a drop-i is not recommended. You could always take the liner out, use the bed without one until it gets all scratched up and then Line-X or Rhino it and then you have a pretty new bed again. :)
  • They do not recommend it. I just have a bed mat and B&W says no, and the mat doesn't move and a lot more durable then the drop in bedliner.
