We went with the same options as you. Those dual pane windows really help. It was 100 degrees here in Tucson a few days ago. I fired up the A/C in the morning, and the interior temp stayed at 78 degrees all day. It might have went cooler if I'd set it lower. Right now, it doesn't look like we need the second A/C. While the A/C was running, our power meter showed it was pulling around 12 amps total on one leg.
