- kennethwoosterExplorerI agree with previous poster. You must start with the foundation, or frame. I've had a couple of very junky frames on 38.5 ft. rvs. Both frames were Lippert, so I probably won't have much good to say about Lippert. Problem we now have a Carriage and a Cameo with Lippert frame. It will not be the same thing.
- lillyputzExplorer IIThe frame is the foundation of your house on wheels. As far as the Quality of construction, I would recommend starting with the frame and suspension and work your way up. My past experience, has gotten me past being a lip stick fanatic.

I saw a brand new Wilderness too the other day, the sister Fleetwood to the Prowler and a few others. Heartland grabbed that name. - Mile_HighExplorer

Looks too me like you called it junky.
Na, you're quoting PCM1959. He's just that way :( - Dayle1Explorer II

Not really the same thing. All RVs built in the US basically have just two choices for the major items, refer, A/C, furnace, water heater, windows, oven, awnings, etc. And as far as I know, these manufacturers don't have different levels of quality, just size and features. Meaning a Dometic refer in an inexpensive RV is no more likely to fail than in a high end unit. And even when it comes to the other items, fittings, faucets, door handles, etc, they all buy from the same distributors. And funny thing, many of those items come from China.
Didn't Heartland or someone buy out the rights to the Titanium design concept a few yrs ago? That might be a closer analogy. And another brand has brought back the Prowler name as well. Another close analogy. - goducks10ExplorerDon't get excited. Its just another junky Thor/Crossroad product

Don't know if its been posted but Crossroads RV is bringing the Carriage and Cameo nameplate back.
Don't be fooled I looked at the the construction info and it ain't no Carriage of old (Lifestyles is)
Don't get excited. Its just another junky Thor/Crossroad product. Nothing about it even close to being like an original Carriage OR Lifestyle.
Not excited at all - just giving out info that nameplate is in use again and that it's NOT built like the old Carriage products. As for calling them junk, I didn't say they are junk they may be fine trailers. IMO don't trust Crossroads anymore but that's just me. Opinion on my part. As for DRV yes they are now in the Thor family but in Heartland Co, which I believe is different than being a Crossroads Co. (IMO again).
Even DRV uses Lippert frames they just spec it w/ a better grade so painting everything with that broad of brush strokes is not right (IMO again) - Mile_HighExplorerYep - run your company into the ground and you don't get choices as to where your name lives on! That's how it works :)
Give the new ones a chance - they're on Lippert frames, but not everyone out there are frame fanatics. - Boxer_LoversExplorerI'll be curious to see if DRV can maintain their quality over time. Thor brings a reputation that has placed more emphasis on volume production.
