Retirees worked a long career, denied themselves luxuries for so many years and now it's time to spend. Get the big powerstroker 350 dualie and the baddest 5r they can find to drag behind it. or sell everything and buy a seven figure class A and a mercedes smart to tow behind it.
New trucks are expensive, but used trucks are even worse. The resale value on ten year old diesels is insane. Buying something older than ten years? I guess that's an option if you're handy - but well maintained or not, time takes its toll and repairs will get expensive.
Glamping (RV-ing) is the popular past time for upper middle class right now. The rich folks have their private jets and chalets, the poor have a backyard pool and a 36 pack of swill in the cooler. The middle goes out on the roads with mini apartments in boxes. Some head into the woods, many head to concrete resorts.
