I guess I'm on the other end of the spectrum. I don't want a 38' 5th wheel to get nice amenities. I'd like to get a luxury type 5er in the mold of a DRV, Redwood, Landmark type but in a 30-32'. I go places where a 38' won't fit. We do spend most of out time outside so yes the power reclining theater seat that's in front of a 55" HD tv with sound surround is meaningless at that time. However we do camp when the weather's less than enjoyable to be outside. In Oregon early spring and late fall can be wet and cold. It's nice to have some comfort when you FEEL like being inside for a day.
When I'm home I don't sit outside all day just because it's nice out. I may or may not even go outside. There's a big difference between going camping on a 3 day weekend as opposed to taking off for a couple months at a time. Maybe it's just me but even on a 2 week trip I don't want to be cooped up in a 25' TT with no slides for several days because it's raining and cold out.
