If you want to go CAMPING, buy a tent, toss it in the back of your truck, have a beer, and quit worrying about what others want or drive. Personally I like my condo on wheels
Im way too old for a tent. A camper is great.. dry, warm, cool and a place I can use the restroom without being attacked by insects.
Basically, you completely missed my point but I expected this, and also some of the mean comments.. its typical american attitude.
also, I dont drink since I crashed my harley while doing so. I have only one usable arm as a result which is another reason a camper is nice.. i need some comfort.
I just dont get the styling...
I was talking to a used truck dealer.. he said he didnt get the american fascination with expensive trucks either.. he lives well as a result.. we americans need an adjustment.
Cost of even a =basic= truck is still d@mn high. Don't know about you, but I do like some comfort while driving 6-10 hours a day, so that costs. I do like having 4wd, that costs. I like having a diesel, that costs. I like having a crew cab, yep, that costs. Right there, I'm up to about $15-20k in options. It is what it is. Buy used and don't worry about it. I've had 2 new trucks in my life. One I saved for when I was in h.s. The other was a lease through our farm that I bought after the lease (technically used, but I ordered it new); the rest were all hand-me-downs from my dad or bought used. I'd love to replace my current D'max, but it would be with no later than an LBZ '07 D'max.
