You are correct on all accounts. I could have said it better.. but its a supply and demand thing.. and apparently "you people" are demanding these bells and whistles.. and you are leaving no options for me other than a custom job...
Frankly, when was the last time that =any= mfr here offered anything close to the vintage stuff from the 40's to 60's, with formica counters and tables and sheet vinyl flooring? And you know what? For the most part, they looked just like people's houses at that time! Now, I'm sure there were more luxurious rigs, but not many. You look at some of the very early RV's, and you'll find a more "rustic" look, with the wood paneling interior, and such, but, by and large, RVs tend to reflect our houses. Were I a hard-core toy-meister, going to the dunes, cinders, mud bogs, etc., you bet I'd want an RV that I could practically just hose out after a long weekend of dirt and mud.
