I'm not sure what your point is. Do you want RV interiors to look like the 90's. Do you want loud diesel trucks like your 99?
Change is constant and hopefully for the better, but not always.
Expecting generations of people, RV interior or trucks to remain as is silly.
The world keeps marching on. Sounds like you found your sweet spot and you wished the world would halt right there!
The true beauty is you can have your 99 Ford and your Terry trailer and enjoy it to the fullest. However you don't need to find fault with others and condemn their camping and vehicle choices. No need to keep up with the Jones's. Also no need to bash the Jones's either. Variety is the spice of life.
I once owed a 99' diesel 7.3 PSD great truck, but my newer one is greatly improved. Your 99 was not a cheap truck when it was new, much in the way these $60K trucks will be considered a great buy on the used market 15 years from now! It's all about perspective. You need to take a my cup is 3/4 full perspective on life/camping vs. the sky is falling approach.
Your post states my view exactly.
Thank you Lantley for writing what I was thinking. Well said.
