As mentioned I once owned a 7.3 PSD F-250 and it was a great truck with a great motor. But it does not compare to my current truck and no way does it compare or is as capable as a 2016 6.7 F-250.
At the end of it all people buy new stuff because they want it. Don't assume they are brainwashed or misguided.
Sure they could have bought a 99 F250 but not everyone wants a 17 year old truck! Or a 10 year old camper.
THere is nothing to really figure out. The world moves on. Ford continues to build trucks and the next generations continue to buy them. This is not Cuba
where consumers are forced to recycle what they have because there are no new vehicles available.
This is the USA where we have lots of choices. Some choose old some choose new,some pay cash, some finance, some are young and just starting out, some are old ready to retire. Some have unlimited budgets, some are working with their last dollar.
Trying to fit everyone into a one size fits all box is pointless.
