The private Campgrounds at Myrtle Beach do not allow motorcycles of any kind, with the possible exception of Apache. Ocean Lakes, PirateLand, and Lakewood all have parking areas at the gate for bikes.
There is actually reasoning behind the bans at the MB CGs. Every year there are "Biker Rallys" 2 in fact, at MB. One a Harley Week, and the other a Crotch Rocket Rally over Memorial Day. Seems there has been some trouble during one of these rallys. So that is why the bans.
That was always my assumption as to why they do a ban. I'm happy with it.
I figured the same regarding Myrtle Beach CGs, and assume more of the same in any other venue that has occasional bike rallies. I've been to a few rallies and I know I wouldn't care to stay in a CG with many of the characters I've seen there. That said, it would be nice if the CG managers would simply limit the bike exclusions to the rally dates.
