The heavier DRV frames are just taller - 15" versus 12", to hold the additional weight. Just like the front piston on the front Lippert landing gear is larger than the Redwood. It's all about the weight on the DRV, but it's still a Lippert I-beam frame.
I know there are those that believe it's all in the specs, but I don't believe there is a lot of basis to that. Any of the failures I have seen have been in the welds anyway, and to be honest - other than a rumor of a Landmark frame fail recently - I haven't really read of a frame issue on the Lippert frames for the last several year models in any manufacturer.
Not so...Mobile Suite and Elite Suites are stacked BOXED steel frame 15" high...Tradition is a 12" I beam frame...very different.
