Doing it this this way keeps you out of trouble pulling a trailer behind your fifth wheel and fighting with the local state laws you may encounter.

This is our set-up. Hubby made the rack on the front of the truck. We continue to use it five years later, all is good. Comes in handy when we want to drop the fifth wheel off in a campground and take off to explore with the truck and paddle a lake.
