The speed limit on rural Interstates and most 4 lane roads in Texas is 75 MPH. The speed limit on the western parts of I-10 and I-20 in West Texas is 80 MPH (the law enables it to be set as high as 85 pending TxDOT studies and approvals). Ambient air temperatures in the summer can be 110 degF.
The speed limit on toll road 130 between San Antonio and Austin is 85 MPH. Wonder what Carlisle thinks about that?????

I don't know, neither do you. Why don't you speculate some more?
How about the fact that Marathons are rated for 65-75mph ONLY IF inflated 10psi over the state cold psi rating of the tire?
How about the fact Carlisle RH series being rated to 87mph?
How about the fact Maxxis doesn't provide a speed rating, other than the assumed 65mph max for the general ST tire?
Also, would someone please show us all ANY tire manufacture recommending LT tires on a trailer. Goodyear leaves the door open, but they do not come out recommending anything.
Those who use LT's on their trailer successfully, great. But they are the minority and lucky their tire shop installed them. Some will refuse to mount LT's on trailer wheels.
AND...you better make sure your wheels and valve stems can handle the higher PSI required for many LT tires to reach their load rating.
There are many, many assumptions on here about LT tires on trailers, and they are NOT blow out free. Don't kid yourselves.
Many will believe posts on the internet because they believe what they want to, yet wont believe manufactures written publications with a real name to stand behind. To each their own!
