"It's a Forrest River product. Always suspect quality and build wise." That is a very broad statement and I believe that you could put in any of the major RV manufacturer's names in that statement. I also believe that the current RV's from any of the big three or four are probably not quite as good quality as those 8 to 10 year old units. A couple of reasons are much more glitz and glamor is put in the new units, electronic this, automatic that, etc. and they are pushed out the door at a breakneck pace that doesn't leave much time to go back and fix it. Since virtually all of them use the same component manufacturers your will likely find similar problems with components in any brand.
Now all that being said, I believe Cedar Creek does put out a good unit even tho they lay an egg every now and again. I also know that their warranty and service departments try hard to help you with problems. (But with recent realignment of duties, timeliness has been a bit of an issue.) With all that being said, we are on our second Cedar Creek and would buy another without reservation.
There are couple of Cedar Creek facebook groups that could give you more insight in addition to the Forest River Forum.
