- Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIContacting Forest River would get you an answer straight from the MFG.
http://www.forestriverinc.com/ContactUs.aspx - B_O__PlentyExplorer IIWho cares? How will they know if you are in it full time. Then you need to know a specific definition of full time. Out for 48 weeks in the trailer. Staying with relatives for 4 weeks is that full time? I've never heard of anyone being turned down because they lived in the trailer too long...The warranty is only good for a year, 2 years if you extend through Forest River. Cedar Creek is a good unit. I doubt this will ever be an issue..
B.O. - Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIIf you use a mail forwarding service it can then be easily argued one is FULL TIME.
SOME mfgs. will void their warranty (such as it is) if used for FT.
SO YES it is a concern when purchasing NEW
Also a rig marketed for FT use comes with certain expectations which mfg. touts.
So YES......again it is a concern when purchasing NEW
And YES..........mfg. have denied warranty repairs due to rig being lived in vs recreational use. A concern when purchasing NEW
New Horizons, Excell, NUWA, DRV, Carriage all stated Full Time use
Heartland........expressly stated "Any product used for a commercial or business purpose, including, not limited to, rental, charter, or for other fees for service, or as a residence is excluded from this Limited Warranty."
But excluded the Land Mark, Big Horn and Big Country brands from that 'residential limitation'.
