I feel I need to throw in my .02. When it comes to my truck, I am now a die hard Michelin fan. I never used to be, but switched to them after the last Firestone Steeltex debacle. I am on my third set of the LTX M/S, this being the M/S2. I got 45K out of each of the last two sets. I just had this set balanced/rotated today. With 15K on them they are only showing 10% wear. I expect to get all of that 70K out of them. The difference is also that about half of my current miles was towing my 11K lb. fifth wheel. They are outstanding on dry pavement and in heavy rain drive like on dry pavement. They are good in snow and ice.
I thought about replacing my trailer tires with either the LTX M/S2 the XPS rib when my current tires wear out. I'm just not convinced the LTX belong on a big trailer. Currently, I am running Made in the USA Marathons with no blowouts.
