I have a 2012 Fuzion 399. I would like to start the process for changing out to all LED's. Do I have to disassemble each and every light in my TH or can I just take one apart, see which bulb it requires and then count the number of fixtures? As you can see by the question, I am a newbie. Thanks and, by the way, I really appreciate the advice from all of you in spite of the occasional disagreement.

Not sure about disassembly, I just popped the covers off to see what type of lamp base and then counted the fixtures. Had a few incandescents that were spotlight type reading lamps that I found LEDs for at a local truck stop store. This Spring marks the start of our third camping season since our LED conversion, they are brighter, run cooler, and use a fraction of the power of the incandescents they replaced. An absolute must mod for those who tend (or prefer) to camp off the power grid. It felt like we nearly doubled our available stored 12Vdc power after the conversion was performed.

if the fixtures look the same, then I would think the bulbs would be the same also. so take one apart and look at the end of the bulb and look for the bulb number and when you order your led's order the replacement led's for that bulb number.

When we are in conserve mode. We don't use many lights anyway. We didn't feel the need to change out all of the bulbs, just the ones in strategic locations.

I just changed over today and they are great! Exactly the same or more light and they came with the adapters to an 1156 base. JiminDenver gave me the info and he was right on the mark. Ten Warm White 48 1210 panels with adhesive on the back for $39.95. I had bought 2 bulb type replacements at an RV shop and tried them about a year ago and was very disappointed with them. They were dim,blueish light and almost $30 for two. Jim gave me a link that I'm having trouble getting to post. Maybe he'll chime in soon and give you the info. They were on e-bay and came from China. Took me about 15 minutes to replace all ten.

My FW has 2 12" (IIRC) 2-bulb fluorescent fixtures; one over the kitchen sink and one over the bath sink. How do these compare to LEDs? Anyone done a swap on something similar?

My advice is only get ONE the first time and try it out. There are so many providers both very expensive and rather cheap. Most tell you what LUMENS they are using but alot of others just say they are bright replacements.. You also need to determine which color of light you prefer. Most folks like the WARM LIGHT which represents the old incandescent bulbs pretty close. Others like the COOL bright type but they give off a BLUISH looking light which I don't care too much about...

Some of the expensive LED replacements have built-in regulator chips that may interfere with your HDTV signals, radio signals, etc.

The best advise is to just get ONE REPLACEMENT first and try it out before spending hundreds of dollars dong them all at one wack just to find out they are not what you expected to get...

Once you get them all replaced they will save around 80% of your lights load to the battery if you are camping off the power grid. That is a HUGH power savings. The LEDs also do not heat up much. When you pull down your current lens etc you will most definitely start seeing all of the yellow plastic around them that is being burned up by the very hot incandescent automotive type bulbs. Be sure to turn them off for a couple of minutes before you reach up in there to twist one out... It will be "MIGHTY HOT" to touch...

Can you find LED bulbs that have warm/yellow light? I don't like cool lights (like fluorescents).

I changed all 35+ lights (including the reading type by the bed) in our rig this year. We used:

I have started to change out my lights and have tried several different ones and found that the 921 base with the 13 50/50 led lights in warm white have givin off a little brighter than the stock 921 bulb and it plugs right in the base with no modifications
