If towing local, it was just fine. Any time we would travel any distance and especially if it was windy, the rear end of the truck would move back and fourth. Everything I've read or the discussions I've had with people I've met told me that the dually was much more stable. We had a pretty scary incident on our last trip that was a real eye opener to the fact that I was pushing the limits of the F250.
Additionally, we intend on getting a larger trailer in the future so we went ahead and got the truck in advance.
