All you have done is isolated the bad ride of your camper from the truck. I would make the suspension better on your rv so it doesnt get torn apart bybthe bounce and vibrations
I am sorry to say I was thinking the same.

A cushioned pin box should be the last step to correct "Chucking". Not mentioned by the OP was if the 5er has shocks, if your 5er doesn't ride as smooth as the TV I am sure you will feel it. I chose to fix the ride of the 5er rather than masking it. Our 5er chucked when we first got it ,the biggest improvement came with install of shocks!
No it doesn't have shocks. Shocks might have a impact on vertical (up and down movement) but I don't see how it would have much effect on lateral, front and rear movement anyway.
Have someone ride behind you and see how bad the trailer bounces. Mine bounces like a pogo stick...this bounce transfers to me in the seat, diagnosed by being on the phone with my spotter. Yes my trailer bouncing up and down on the spring = me being tugged for and aft in my seat. I just ordered a Joyride shock kit and will upgrade my equalizer soon after.
I am not saying this is your problem and i agree not 1 answer for every problem.
I would reccomend a spotter vehicle follow you during a tow, and preferably not the wife unless she is pretty mechanically sharp to pick up on the movements.
