Some swear X hitch does better than Y. There might be some fact behind that, especially the higher end versions with air bags and such. No personal experience myself.
I have helped others installed high end equalizers (the bar between the trailers leaf springs) who reported significant improvement.
I have also installed shocks on a couple trailers, my own TT included. I believe with a high end equalizer and shock combo offers the best bang for the chuck...I mean buck.
