Chucking

Lots of discussion on the subject with some not being able to solve the problem. I was wondering, for those who could not solve it, if the problem could also be caused from the axle wrapping and unwrapping on leaf spring vehicles under a heavy load. I have never seen this mentioned.

Much like our old vehicles experienced, rear tire hop, under severe acceleration.

Just a thought, what do you think?
  • Spring wrap normally only occurs when accelerating. Most of the chucking is driving down the road at a steady speed and not taking off from a stop. Most people don't have a problem with it on a paved highway only on concrete roadways.

I don't know of to many pickups with enough power to cause spring wrap at 60 to 65 MPH when loaded.
  • My trailer chucks severely with no leaf springs. Other issues at play.
