City water filling fresh tank

Arg!! This is a new problem. Why is my tank being filled (slowly) by the city hookup?

I find water stains (big ones) on the underside of the coach, under the water tank.

    Internal check valve in on-board pump leaking allowing backflow thru pum

    OR

    If you have a water panel with 'FILL' position it is leaking thru allowing water to go to fresh water tank


    No 'FILL' valve then pump check valve
    Run pump and let the flow thru pump clear check valve diaphragm of debris/scale....hopefully.

    I never use city water directly any more......
    Fill tank and always use pump.
    Had a fitting break while on city water flooded rv $6000 damage.
