I would check the manual for the furnace to see the minimum number of vents to "safely" operate your furnace. If you close one off that you need for that minimum you will probably be bumping the high limit on the furnace. I would do as smkettner and add extra vents if closing off one.

I hade the same issue in my first fifth wheel, the furnace would hit the high limit and shut down the gas valve until it cooled off enough. This was even worse when running off the batteries and they discharge enough that the furnace fan is turning fast enough to make the sail switch but not fast enough to keep it off of high limit.

Our rig has four vents and one came louvered. We moved the louvered one to the bedroom and essentially close it off when heating. No problems.

We use the magnetic covers, you can move them to allow as much heat as you want, also they keep small items rings etc. from falling into the vents. Good Luck and Happy Camping !!!

same issue in our rig and I did buy a 4 x 8 louvered vent. I can close it partially and have a much butter balance of heat in our MBR vs the rest of the rig. With all the vents already open I seriously doubt the extra back pressure will effect the furnace. Very happy with the mod

Bought louvered venta at Ace hardware in a similar color as the originals. I just adjust them all to get what we consider an ideal blend.

That is what I did because the bathroom is the hottest and the furnace like yours,close to the bathroom. I used the damper to cut down the air to the bathroom and it re directed the heat to the other ones with out any ill effects.

Maybe What you need is one of These The picture and description all show the vent with a damper.

I have used this vendor and they seem to have very good prices and fast reasonable shipping.

Lowe's and Home Depot sell magnetic vent covers, cut to size. Also, check your duct work near the heater. I was able to shorten my ducts 6'whiched helped move more air down stream.

Make a cover. Lay it over the vent or take it off when you need. I used a piece of rubber for that reason on our old trailer.
