Missing heat vent 2018 coachmen..

So I picked up the new travel trailer. All was good with walkthrough and build quality excellent IMO.

But,

During walk through I mentioned that the travel trailers I see on line have a heating duct at front fascia of couach. Mine only has 3.

1 in master 1 in bath and 1 at far end near bath/bunks.

The sales man stated I can add one.. lol.. I drove 4 hours to get it and I wasnt leaving it there. ha ha.

So I got home and for the life of me was wondering if this was part of the build for a reason or they forgot it..

Note, all 2018's I have seen so far seem to be missing this duct.. Well not all. I can go on line and find a few, but not many..

So I e mailed coachmen. I sent him pics. His first response was some models they can put a duct and others they cant. After he viewed the pics he stated that I contact the dealer for these parts. And he copied the dealer and recommended the dealer send the parts at no cost to me..

Thats where I am at now as I have not heard back from dealer yet. But I did forward all messages to the person I dealt with through my whole buying process..

Now the question..

Why do you think they ommitted the heat duct?
Do you think I should add the heat duct?

It seems the one duct in the master gets very hot as its so close to the furnace. Like 6 inches. So it gets most of the air. The other two ducts are at least 10 ft away.

I think adding the duct to the 35k btu heater should be beneficial..

Thats where I am at now as I have not heard back from dealer yet. But I did forward all messages to the person I dealt with through my whole buying process..

Now the question..

Why do you think they ommitted the heat duct?
Do you think I should add the heat duct?

It seems the one duct in the master gets very hot as its so close to the furnace. Like 6 inches. So it gets most of the air. The other two ducts are at least 10 ft away.

I think adding the duct to the 35k btu heater should be beneficial..

Adding 1 helped but not enough. I was timing the burner cycles on and off. Was a bit dumbfounded when timing after adding the 2nd and it just ran until the thermostat was satisfied. Tons of heat, I was sweltering.

I would move your new duct to the rear knockout and add the second vent to the left and connect to the forward spot.

I used a more ridged flex duct from Home Depot. . He was testing the furnace with the thermostat cranked up and the temp outside was 85 it sure will turn the burner off when it gets to hot and back on once the blower cooled the furnace down enough.

Here are the before pics..

And as far as the intake I cut in a intake grate I got at home depot and cut a square on the top of that luan piece you see on top of the furnace. When the couch is in normal position there is lots of room for air to get behind couch and wall.

Otherwise the only opening was that sections where I ran the new flex duct..

That was an attempt to give it more air. ( Didnt work)

I dont think there is a high limit in the combustion chamber.

Maybe I will use the other side and cap the existing..This should flow more air over the limit switch.

Yes thats my pic. Originally there was 3. The other one you cant see. Its directly on the other side of that back wall or furnace. a 3 \" piece of flex to that ductin the master bedroom.

But its offset. They did not line it up right. But that duct gets real hot

I added the duct to the couch there in front. So now there are 4.

The other two ducts are clear and not crushed. I have access to those ducts through the kitchen cabinets.
