Coachmen Chaparral 5th Wheels

Any comments on Coachmen Chaparral 5th wheels? I am considering a 2020 298RLS.
  • Do you want to dry camp in it? 48 gallons is pretty small for a fresh water tank. If you stay at parks with hook ups that wouldn't matter though.
  • It is a typical entry level 5er. It will work fine as a 3 season weekend and vacation trailer.

  • We have owned one for 10 years now and have had no major issues. We love ours.
  • We are on our 2nd fifth wheel, third Coachmen. We belong to the Coachmen Owners Association. All ours have been used and for the most part they have been good. Have many friends who have bought new and none of them have had any major problems. They have pretty good owner factory support with a factory sponsored rally each year. But they aren't any better or any worse than any other manufacturer. I whole heartedly recommend them.
