Columbus Auto Leveling System

We are close to buying a new Columbus 320RS and I was wondering if someone could tell me if the auto level system is hydraulic or electric. I am considering this option but I am curious which system the factory is using. Thanks in advance.

  • We got the Lippert hydraulic 6 point auto level and everybody is right it is the best thing to come along on 5th's for a long time well worth the money for me, I have had it on my Montana for 2 years and it has been trouble free
  • I have a 6 point Lippert Hydraulic system and its the best thing since indoor plumbing. You unhook push the auto level button and stand back and watch. Your traveling partners will be mad at you. The jacks are so much faster than the electric.
  • I took a look at the quote again and it says 6 point leveling system so I will assume it is the hydraulic. We are going to look at the unit this Saturday. It is an extra 2k for the leveling system. The have the identical unit without the system so at least I have a choice.
  • I have a 2014 Columbus 295RL (about 35' long, about 4' shorter than the 320). It has the Lippert 4 point auto leveling. It is electric and works great. They also use a 6 point auto leveling on some. I don't know which is on the unit you are considering. Sure makes setting up much easier. It was well worth every penny. I hit auto level and its done in a minute or two. We love our Columbus. Good luck.
  • Neighbor pulled in with one about three weeks ago. It has 4 electric stabilizers (not jacks or levelers) His had one DOA at delivery and so far it has been about 3 weeks and he is still waiting for parts for that and a bunch of other issues. The biggest problem I see is that there is no stabilizers at the back of the coach. So it is not going to be very stable.
