8000lb was working off the dry weight, not GVWR. A 8000 GVWR 5’er is a no go (do they even make those)?. We need bunks for the kids.
Jimnlin - may I ask what the payload rating is on your ram 2500?
The yellow tire placard has no legal status nor is it used to determine a overloaded vehicle out here on the highways.
You won't have any issues pulling a 8k or a 11k 5th wheel trailer or carrying pin weights/gear/people with that truck.
