I have been trying to find the place for the emergency handle to fit on my new 2013 cougar lite 26sab slides. The handles came with it but this was not gone over in my very good delivery instructions...

Yeah, it's probably like my Cougar. You have to open up the corroplast undercover to access the slide motor.
Also, I'll bet you do not have a handle for the manual slide. You have one handle for the landing gear, and one for the rear stabilizing jacks. I didn't get one for the slide, and it wouldn't fit anything on the motor anyway. Plus you might have an awning crank. You have to use a regular ratchet and socket wrench to turn a hex adapter on the gearmotor.
I could be wrong, because mine is a different model and year. Open the corroplast and check.
