I have recently encountered serious Structural problems with my 2013 Crossroads Rushmore (Washington floor plan). I am the second owner and Crossroads will not agree to any assistance. I understand that the original warranty does not pass beyond the first owner, but the unit is within two years of rolling off the line and I feel that Crossroads should bare some responsibility and better stand behind their products. Am I wrong? Has anyone else had any similar experience?
Many warranties (and not just on RVs) apply to original owner only. While it seems clear there were big problems with this line and in a certain time frame, that doesn't automatically mean that the previous owner didn't cause or aggravate those problems. And that is the issue any company faces with warranties beyond the original owner. A few yrs ago, buyers of used Ford trucks with the 6.0L diesel faced the same issue, no warranty on an unreliable motor. The downside of buying used.
