Cyclone 2812

One of the remaining 2 rigs I am considering
Anybody have one and what are you towing it with ??
IF the "dry weight" is correct or close, I should be OK with my T V.
I know the Max GVW is over what my rig is rated for, but I am not planning to load it up to 14K.
obviously batteries/propane/gas and water add some weight, I have a ~1250# Rhino and a ~275# D S bike.
DW likes the bedroom slide over the Attitude/Stellar Bedroom.
T V is rated at 12.5 to 13K depending on whose chart I look at.

Thanks
  • Hi Bob I have a 2011 that I towed 5000 mi with a 2001 F250 7.3. I now tow it with 2011 F350 6.7. mine has several options and it weighs 9520 EW. Absolutely will be fine with your truck. The 250 had bags and a built tranny but otherwise stock.
  • Have the road warrior and pull it with an 07 cummins 2500. You'll have no problem towing it.

I am also considering this model- my question is: will a Rhino fit under the dual bunks in the rear? Have you tried to see if it will fit? Thatw as the one concern I had- I was thinking the trailer could be ordered with only one bunk, or if not, one could be removed to allow the Rhino to fit.

Other than that, it looks like a great trailer.
  • Thanks for the reply's

Budman, I need to measure both the Attitude/Stellar and the Cyclone height and make sure the Rhino will fit. The Rhino has made Us rule out several rigs with separate garages since many are only 10'. I think you can get a single bed in the rear, but not sure.
  • Actually the facing sofas/ beds bolt to the carrier and can be removed Bob. The upper bunk should clear a cage, when I get home in June Ill measure mine.
  • One bunk removed should work just fine....We need 73" to clear the rhino roof. We have just one pull down, barely makes it.

Our rear bed pushes tight to the ceiling thankfully.
  • Should fit i would imagine, could always let some air out of the tires if needed
  • I recently added a 2" lift and larger tires to my Kawasaki 4010 mule trans 4x4 bringing it to a total height 78" with a 76" clearance in the garage. I let the air out of the front tires and get 3" reduction. An inch is as good as a mile :).
  • Something else came to mind, a propane Genny.
I know it should eliminate the fuel in the carb going bad, but how much propane does it use ?? and should that not be a concern. We usually do very well on propane in our present rig, unless its below freezing outside and the heater runs a lot, we rarely use much.
    Just wondering :W
