D E or G tires

I have some 4 year old Towmax China bombs and had a few blow out on a older 5 wheel and looking for some tires that I won't half to worry about. The towmax I have now are rated D. To be safer should I go to a E or a G. I heard that the G rated will ride rougher.

  • Just put sailun on my trailer made a world of difference. I think it rides smoother and with less bounce
  • Depending of course on the weight of your fifth wheel, I'd definitely go with the G rated tires. Sailun makes a great tire.

Depending on weight of your 5th wheel "E" is the min. "G" is my choice but stay away from Towmax, throw them away. There are a number of good tires but my choice is the Goodyear "G" rated tires. Since switching to Goodyear G rated tires years ago, I have not had 1 flat tire.:)
