Decal replacement?

i have a 2010 Montana mountaineer that some of the decals where replaced under warranty. Now the rest are starting to peel and as wondering how old are some of the rvs that have had thier decals replaced by keystone at no cost?Is my rv way to old now to go to the manufacture and ask for decals to be replaced? How many years past warrenty did you get them replaced?
  • I have a 2010 Cougar and ALL the decals seem to be peeling to one degree or another. I transferred the extended warranty when I purchased the unit 2 years ago. I'm not sure if it will cover the decal problem. If not --- I WILL remove any decal with the mention of Keystone on it.
  • The shop guy then said "I'll be glad to remove what is left of the original and place the new one, but I will see you again in two years". So he just gave it away. I am now in the process of removing my decals on another brand and when I'm done it will be white with ghost stripes. It will never stripped again!

From what I am reading here it seems like an ongoing problem that Montana doesn't seem to be addressing. After reading all of this, I would be inclined to remove the old one and replace one of my own. Montana adds the decal to advertise it's product. Mine would be an advertisment for Montana, but would not be exactly complimentary to Montana.
  • Last year a friend got Montana to send him another decal for the front cap after his original went belly up. Came to him in a big mailing tube. He took it out and asked me "just what am I to do with this"? He has some age to him and I said the best place would be a sign shop etc. that has a portable rack to make it easier to place. He then went to a shop here in Yuma and asked about it. The guy at the shop's first sentence was "it must be a Montana". Yep, it is said my friend. The shop guy then said "I'll be glad to remove what is left of the original and place the new one, but I will see you again in two years". So he just gave it away. I am now in the process of removing my decals on another brand and when I'm done it will be white with ghost stripes. It will never stripped again!
  • I have one decal that started peeling off. A small one about 8" x 34".
I figured that I would be out of luck, but after a call to NuWa parts department and some discription of what I needed, there is one on the way! $10 plus postage. My fifth wheel is an '04.So I may be getting the very last one available.
The point is,it never hurts to ask. Thank You, NuWa !
BTW The old one came right off using DWs hair dryer.
  • My cougar decals peeled and I asked very nicely for help replacing. Keystone said no.
  • Check out the Montana Owner's Club blogs. This is an ongoing problem with all of them. There's an awful lot of folks who've had problems with them and done the work themselves or had someone else do it. Ours have some cracks, but I'm letting them go until they get really bad. Probably remove everything and maybe have it painted.
  • Politely remind them that shabby decals reflect poorly on what the public perceives as their quality ;-)

You may get lucky and they may send you replacement, for you to install or have installed at your expense. It never hurts to ask, keep in mind your attitude towards the issue may influence their decision to replace the failing decals.
