- sirdrakejrExplorerThe hum you hear is the noise being amplified thru the ceiling. The bump causes the fan to center and then the noise is reduced. You can try putting a rubber spacer between the fan mount and the ceiling to isolate them mount. Sometimes rebalancing a blade will eliminate the noise too. Good luck.
Frank - loydtExplorerI may even use some toggle bolts. I wonder if the tanks are tight against that wood or is there some small space in between?
- CHV_FRKExplorerI would guess that it's maybe 1/2" or 5/8", but it should be easy enough for you to check. Remove the little screw to slide the access panel on the rear of your storage area. Look around where the elec panel is. There's a hole cut for a bunch of the wires to go through. You can check the thickness there. It's definately OSB though so I would think about through bolting your slide or getting another piece of scrap wood on the bottom to spread the load.
- loydtExplorerCHV_FRK, did you happen to notice the thickness of the basement wood floor when you had your underbelly off? I am going to screw a cargo slide tray down in my basement and dont want to drill a hole in the top of holding tanks.
- CHV_FRKExplorerWe have it too... you can bump it and it go away a little. I think part of it is that it's solid, but not so solid, mounted. I was going to pull it down and attempt to tighten it's attachment and put a gasket between the fan and box.
- loydtExplorerDoes anyone else have an annoying hum with their ceiling fan? Mine is and has been so bad since we got the 5er, that I just never turn it on. I am thinking of just going to Lowes and buying a new one.

we have the Firestone fireplace ledge option with no window in the back. Really like it. Yes, it has no easy access to a coat closet and that forces me to take the coat all the way to closet in bedroom:(
just returned from our first extended trip since retirement. We will catch up on things around the house and then head out again in about 6 weeks.
We love this rig! Just a few items to get fixed. Love the ability to keep temp constant be it hot or cold, glad we got the thermopane windows. The amount of room over our prior unit you can't measure
We also had problems with gray water lights and one gray water dump valve one is sticking and not closing all the way. i love the black water flush nice feature
We had a slight dripping from the TV crank up antenna also the turn plate would not rotate the TV antenna so am going to have to get that fixed.
One screw one the kitchen slide out was slightly protruding, I ran in back in and covered the head with duck tape as had limited tools and will get the dealer to look at it and check the rubber seal
I figured how to get the Hi Def signal up to the bedroom I had to replace the splitter with one that could carry a higher signal
We hit a bump in the road and the Stromberg 5Th wheel tailgate flew open then one of the safety cables gave way so we where dragging the tailgate between the pickup and the fiver. No damage thank goodness.
We got between 12.4 and 12.9 much better than was expected.
today was the first time in a car feels like I am setting on the ground LOL
good luck

On the two units... I would just say this. the less windoes the better... and the pop up tv is just one more thing to go wrong in the future. If it gets stuck up...I would think you might need to dismount it for travel. Good luck with your purchase!
I'm just the opposite. I want all the windows I can get. Don't want to live in a closet. - CHV_FRKExplorerpetekerwien - just don't fill it much past 1/3 so it will slosh around really well.

Anything major to report or any recalls. I really like the layout of the unit. Only minor issue is nowhere to hang a coat when coming in the door nor a place to put shoes aside.
One unit has the rear window with pop up TV and the other has the fireplace wall with no opening windows. Any complaints with either of these set ups.
Anything I would have to look at requesting a change or look at by dealer as part of the purchase.
Thanks
