Just an FYI - The "Frank" in the thread title/topic is Frank the Moderator.
The "thanks" are *to* him for allowing this (lengthy & xlnt) thread to continue.
~ - 5thwheeltowboyExplorerHello Frank and my name is Frank also. I have a 2009 Designer 5th wheel RLTS I have had a lot of problems with this unit. Water line leaks, kitchen sink sprayer, compartment leaks, electric fireplace and now more brake problems. The unit never did have good brakes but they were better after I found the broken ground wire. Now no broken wires and the brakes are just not strong enough. To say the least quality was not built into our unit and now after all these problems I think I will look at some other brands.
Frank - M_GO_BLUE1ExplorerThe hing is actually one part that looks like it is bolted (riveted) to another part...it snapped right at the bend in the hitch...was only the second time we have ysed the bed...UGH...
I doubt Jayco will do anything about it since the waranty is expired so may have to contact a welder or something...not sure what to do...
When you put the back legs down on the floor you can still sleep on it but... - CHV_FRKExplorerWe actually used ours this weekend.... no issues. Ours seems pretty solid.
Is the hinge welded? I didn't happen to notice. If you find out who makes it let us know. I'd like a replacent pillow.
I also ran into an RLTS this weekend. Nice semi retired couple but they have had a lot of small issues. I have her email and I'm going to point her this way. - M_GO_BLUE1ExplorerAnyone have the hinge on the sofa bed snap?
The hinge I am talking about is the very end of the bed that folds down and you extend the legs so the end of the bed is stable....the hinge that snapped is where you fold up the very end...looks like very thin metal to begin with... - loydtExplorerIve made some exterior mods to mine, some of you may know. I did want to share the new awning fabric with the metal wrap and the new exterior freezer and cargo slide I added. Also is the basement area fridge and TV.

Could anyone tell me if there is 12 volts by the bedroom ceiling vent in an Eagle. I want to install a fan to get more air into the bedroom through the TINY windows.
You'll find 12vdc, 115vac and thermostat wiring aroun the front vent. They wire for all possible options - CHV_FRKExplorerI believe that there is. It will definately be there if a fantastic fan was an option.
- scootskExplorer IIICould anyone tell me if there is 12 volts by the bedroom ceiling vent in an Eagle. I want to install a fan to get more air into the bedroom through the TINY windows.
- loydtExplorerI agree. Made me sad.
