- loydtExplorerAs for the LP generator, I have found them to be very fickle with the LP. Mine would freeze the tanks and stall out and also would make it hard to use other LP items at same time. The biggest pain was constantly changing the tanks out when one would empty. With the gas, you just add some to the tank and move on. The LP does burn cleaner and will give you less problems with the carb if you were to let it sit for a while unused. But that does not apply to me.
As for the washer/dryer, we have one and find it to be quite handy! We were on a month long road trip out west this past summer and are glad we had it. We did not find ourselves cramped for storage space, either. - RedGExplorerThe king bed on ours was too hard till we went to Walmart and bought one of those memory foam toppers. Now it's just right. Actually, more comfortable than my bed at home.
- Rob_FlaExplorerGuys, thanks for all the informaton.
The RLTS we are looking at has the 2nd A/C Factory installed with a thermostat on the wall.
What is the issue with the LP Generator? Am I missing something?
We will not be boondocking but it would be nice if there are park power outages or we stop at Wally World for the night. We were at a Georga State Park last summer and they lost power to the all of the park for about 8 hours during the hottest part of the day, a generator would have been nice.
We are debating the Washer/Dryer thing, may go without it and see how it goes. We can always add later if we want.
What about the King Bed, is it ok or are yall replacing it with something better. DW laid on it and said it was too hard! - blpeckExplorerthahk you much we do not use it as much as we would like to but now it is going to get alot of use intell we find a home around houston. so now it well not be a hot box.
- L_MMusicExplorerNice job, Loydt! Nice scenery, too! Lucky rig.
- CHV_FRKExplorerJust take one of the taps off the front duct trunk and use a 4" or 6" tee (can't remember) to add it to one of the taps on the back. Plug the front trunk. About $10-15 in parts.

Rob_Fla. the polar pkg is for the new 2009 option.
Ours was one the last '08s off the line. Ours has the "Polar Option" but I can't tell you what was added. We too purchased the dual pane windows and we're happy we did. We'll install the second AC in the bedroom this spring. Speaking of spring......is it here yet??
And I second the motion....1 ton dually makes the trip soooooo much smoother - L_MMusicExplorerRob,
I appreciate having the extra storage space where the washer/dryer would go. We full-time and often save money by staying at State Parks where we don't have full hookups. I believe I've heard that you use a lot of water to wash (18 gallons?) -- that makes for a lot of trips to the dump site with the honey wagon. Personally, I don't mind the laundry facilities at campgrounds/in town-- I've only had one bad experience in a small town in Florida. We appreciate having the generator for back-up or boon docking or partial use when camping on friend's property. There's plenty of storage available in the rig without that front compartment (though I'd probably find things to fill it if it were available!) If I had to choose again, I might have opted for the leather upholstery. This stuff is cheap and will need to be recovered within a couple years, I'll bet. We let the dog up, so he helps it wear, I'm sure. No dog, not so bad.
An earlier post of mine lists our minor problems -- make sure they check for leaks between the shower and the toilet. Make sure the air conditioner is hooked up right. And then, ENJOY!!!! We love it!!!!
