- eaherrmannExplorerHey Blue, Scared me for a second, the word "recall" has all sorts of bad meanings. I can live with a label.
BTW, can you send us some of the white stuff? It's been in the high 70's for the last few days and if we actually had a few inches of snow on the ground we wouldn't be itching to go camping. And of course, our's isn't here yet, perhaps next weekend. It has been reported as complete and ready for shipment on 4/9.
Well, it's Sunday...off to church and then go "shopping" for MORE trailer stuff. - M_GO_BLUE1ExplorerOk you all need to read this short article about a Federal recall of a label on our Designers...
RV RECALLS
Says dealers will replace a Federal label??? - eaherrmannExplorer:R Seems like I've been to Bed, Bath & Beyond every weekend since we decided on ours :R DW is trying to get everything "ready" for when ours finally comes in. :h
- CHV_FRKExplorerWe found pillows at Kohl's that match very well.
- 2QAYLExplorerHi, whporwil, welcome to the thread. I believe the valences are almost completely upholstered with bare wood being exposed only for a part of the inside where the shade attaches. Our previous Designer had a full width rear valence and, like yours, it was secured by only three screws; only one of which actually was into the solid blocking at the rear of the cabinet above the valence. I wish Jayco would do a better job of anchoring these fixtures.
Dave - whporwilExplorerHello everyone. I just sat and read all 15 pages of this post and wanted to comment on the loose valances some of you have experienced. Like Dana I have a RLSA so him and I are going to stick together. On the back of our campers we have a great picture window and I had to replace the Valance above it. Only 3 screws hold it on and this one is almost the whole width of the camper. What surprised me was the replacement Jayco sent me. I'm wondering if your valance's are finished like mine. Can you see wood where the mounting screws are located? The one Jayco sent me if finished all the way around so no wood is exposed at all. And for those of us that have the red interior my wife found some pillows at Walley World last night that are a great match.
- cdelv66ExplorerWell, I found the truck I'm going to buy to tow the Jayco I ordered yesterday. It's a 2008 Silverado 3500 HD, 4x4, CC, LB, Dually, Duramax/Allison.
Thanks everyone for all your advice.
Are there any female drivers out there pulling the 'designer'? - VulcaneerExplorer
- M_GO_BLUE1ExplorerThere has been talk of all of us getting together, this year if we can, so we can all meet but we'll have to see how that goes...we all seem to be spread out from New York, 2 of you in Canada, North carolina, Arizona, us here in Michigan...
If any of you ever come to Michigan please let us know... - cdelv66ExplorerHello Sanderson.66! Thanks for the welcome. M Go Blue definitely knows his stuff. I'm looking forward to learning lots more, plus "meeting" other Designer owners.
