- CHV_FRKExplorerI bring them in part way... you can definately hear the water draining....BTW keep the door closed and open the vents or a couple windows. Also don't have to wife stand on the stairs!!!! DRENCHED!!! Anyway, then I bring them the rest of the way in.
Cruz.... Do you lube your seals? It may help them roll better so it gets the squeegy action going. - M_GO_BLUE1ExplorerThe slide toppers are a wonderful thing for leaves, rain, snow, etc....in regards to rain all I do is run the slide all the way in after a rain and the water drains off then I run the slide back out...
I wouldn't be without slide toppers... - cruzExplorer

Water is another problem with them. If you get a good heavy rain, you need to bump your slides in a bit to get all the water that collected off them. Hindsight, I probably would not have gotten them.
Wow ... and here I am saying "Hind Sight ... wish I WOULD have gotten them !!" :h
Pulling the slides in when they're really wet from rain, and the water runs off inside the trailer!?!? I got to the point where I grabbed several towels to wipe down the tops of the slides as I pulled them in. I thought the seals around the slide would get more of the water off, but not from what I'm seeing...??
Since this is my first 5'r ... is this normal? ... AND wouldn't the slide toppers help this situation?

- CHV_FRKExplorerOurs did it a little. Not sure how strong the wind was, but the trailer was moving. I think it also really depends how you are oriented to the wind.
I just seems that one of the complaints for slide toppers. I suppose you could weigh down the side of each one. - sanderson_66ExplorerDon't know BCCDAL.....STILL WAITING FOR OUR TRAILER!!!!!!!! Deep breaths...Deep breaths. I've heard that if you place one of those swimming noodles between slide awning and slide top it quiets down the flapping. Maybe even a partially inflated beach ball. Two more weeks and I'll know for sure!!!
- BCCDALExplorerWell we made the first trip in our new 35RLTS. Spent 4 day's at Lake Pleasant, AZ. Everything worked great. However it was real windy, 10 to 15 MPH. The awnings over all the sliders made terrible noise. Banging and thumping. Has anyone else experienced this? Do I have a problem or do all the awnings do this?
O - 2QAYLExplorerHey, M GO BLUE, have a great trip and enjoy that new trailer!!!
Dave - whporwilExplorerThe fuse that M GO BLUE is talking about is located behind the RV battery on my trailer. I didn't see it until I moved the battery. So if your landing gear ever gives you problems look there first. Alta, the manufacture of the remote control box is very good to work with. I had to remove my unit and send it back. The remote wouldn't work but the switch did and Alta found a bad circuit.
- M_GO_BLUE1ExplorerYeah the recall is a simple recall to replace a Federal label on the rear axle concerning the tire pressure...
After reading this I asked myself...don't most people go by the pressure printed on the tires anyways???
Getting the Rv back today from the dealer to find out why the landing gear would not work on electric (dealer pulled the fuse and forgot to put it back in before I took possession???), drawer would not close properly (fixed), and I had the brakes adjusted (recommended after 300 miles)...
Heading down to Tunica, MS beginning Wednesday night (04/23) and won't be back until Sunday (05/04)...can't wait! First real long trip with the new toy....YAHOO!!!
