Be advised that if you want it ducted you will have to get inside your walls to run a thermostat wire.
Mine was already pre-wired with the thermostat wire.!! When I put my 2nd A/C in, I went with the low profile Carrier non-ducted, so I didn't need it ... but it WAS there.
Just for information purposes ... on the 35 RLTS. When you take the roof vent out the electric wires on mine where run from the front right corner of the opening .... the Thermostat wires were run from the back right corner. (right side being curb side).
I didn't notice any ductwork ... but then again I wasn't looking !!
Anyone else confirm this?

Well Loyd, that sounds like a swell idea. I can hold the flashlight and hand you tools. - M_GO_BLUE1Explorer

If you feel any air blowing out from here, you have a leak. You will be able to feel it and where it is coming from. You can seal it up with a good duct tape.
For those that might add the second a/s later, you can either have it tied into the duct system or just have it blow straight out into the bedroom. Just depends on which ceiling kit you buy. If you want to check the duct, maybe pull off the closest round vent and use a mirror to see what you can see. If you see the insulation then you could use a wire to poke through.
On the sealing of of the supply/return, try a search. But I think if you pull the cover it will be pretty obvious. I have not had to do mine yet, we are getting out this weekend. - eaherrmannExplorerThe "quick cool" vents are on the A/C itself, the shutters along the edge that you can open to have cool air come out to "quick cool" the immediate area.
I removed the bedroom vent shroud to confirm the A/C wiring and controls were there (they are) and I didn't see any visible duct work, the area was filled with foam(to prevent leakage from the duct?) don't know for sure. (that's why I thought the bedroom A/C wasn't vented)
We want to try out current configuration to check our comfort level. If needed we'll put in a second A/C in the bedroom.
Rebels keep us honest :) We welcome any comments, especially those from Designer owners. - M_GO_BLUE1ExplorerFirst what are the quick-cool vents everyone is talking about?
Second...since we didn't get the A/C in the bedroom when ordered, when we eventually do get the second A/C installed by the dealer or whomever will this second A/C be ducted automatically throughout the vents?
Last...I know the rear A/C is a 15000 btu but am assuming everyone's bedroom A/C is a 13500 btu???
CHV still trying to be the rebel here...:p - eaherrmannExplorerI stand corrected, both A/C units blow through the vents. Loydt, I'd be interested in a more detailed explaination of the pressure drop and the fix you've mentioned.
Thanks! - loydtExplorer
Only the rear A/C is ducted. When you close the "quick cool" vents on the A/C unit the cold air is pushed through the duct work. The bedroom A/C only cools the bedroom.
The bedroom a/c is ducted. I can feel it blowing in the living area through the ducts when only the bedroom a/c is on.
Last night I checked mine to see the pressure drop accros the coil for proper cooling. I noticed I had leaks on both of them with the supply air mixing into the return. I was able to duct tape these areas off and noticed much better performance
