- 2QAYLExplorerHi folks,
I've had my nose to the grindstone lately, been having no fun at all, and out of touch with the forum for the most part. That is until today when I stated to review this thread after a long absence. BUT later this month Jan and I will be sunny Arizona bound where we will be spending a month in the excellent Val Vista Resort in Mesa. None too soon by the way, the forecast is for snow this weekend. YUCK! I'll certainly be in touch from Mesa. We are soooo looking forward to this trip and the chance to enjoy the 35RLTS again.
Janice had arthroscopic surgery on both knees and a hernia operation last month but she is recouping and says she'll be hot to shop by the time we're in Phoenix. I think I could bet on that even if she had to navigate on a stretcher.
Thanks for asking M GO BLUE.
Cheers,
Dave - L_MMusicExplorerNo clue. She reported it didn't work. We were going in for warranty work anyway ~ just added it to the list.
M - TravlingmanExplorer IIDon't know where mine is failing. Checked end cap and blower, both seem OK. Couldn't find leak on sides. Going to try on next trip and see then.
- CHV_FRKExplorerIf you two didn't have any luck! You should put the repair totals in your sig to go with your trailer!
Out of curiousity, where is the air bed failing in your situations? Maybe it's something we should all watch. - L_MMusicExplorerHad to have mattress repaired after friend slept on it a few nights and had to pump it up 5 - 6 times per night. Haven't used it since...
Fridge is still on the blink (pun intended -- temp # sometimes blinks indicating it's running on back-up system.) One tech said the seal is damaged -- coils in back freeze up. Temp is definitely inconsistent -- woke up one morning with it on 1 and milk was frozen! Now it's on 3, not blinking and all is well.
Also scheduling repair of end cap...be vewwy vewwy careful! Rig is longer than you may think! :o - cruzExplorer2007dura,
Yep ... My '04 had the LLY ... know about the overheating issue, and listened to the fan a little more than I wanted too !!!
This DOES have the LBZ ... the one I wanted.
Our Air Mattress has worked great so far!! Have only used it 2 or 3 times ... but with no issues.
CRUZ - CHV_FRKExplorerNo troubles with ours... Worked great and held air all night long. My sister in-law was pleasantly surprised.
Picked up our trailer and truck from the tint shop tonight. Looks great. I'm hoping this will help with those really hot summer days a little bit.
BTW, even if it's an LLY you can basically upgrade the air box, intake tube, and a few other pieces and eliminate the overheating issues. - TravlingmanExplorer IICruz,
Congrats on the new ride. I am sure you checked that it has the LBZ engine, as the first '06's were LLY's. Really like mine, great power, but does run hotter than my LB7 did.
Has anyone had trouble with their air mattress? Tried mine out last night, was flat this AM. Going to check it out and try again, but wondering if anyone else had trouble. - cruzExplorerCHV_FRK,
He He He ... funny you should mention that, because that's exactly what I said to my wife.
She just didn't seem to appreciate the humor in that though ... :h
CRUZ - CHV_FRKExplorerLess bouncey...I had air bags. That's about it. I never really had any stability issues. I was just under the axle (tire) limit before. I'm sure it's more stable overall, but that may even out since I'll need to raise the suspension on the trailer to match the higher truck. I think the increased distance between the trailer and truck is going to negatively effect mileage. I do notice more air turbulance in the bed. I may get a deflector to help with that a little, but mostly to lessen the bug carnage.
I'm happy with the change though. The only real thing I miss is the smaller turning radius of the short bed.
Doing away with the slider has tightened everything up back at the hitch/pin. It feels more solid, especially with the Curt 20K that I got. It has rubber mounts to help with shock. Between that and the Mor-ryde pin I am grinning from ear to ear crossing the railroad tracks!
