- M_GO_BLUE1Explorerloydt,
They are both slow but the sofa/fridge/stove is definitely slower I assume to all the weight on that side... - loydtExplorerAnybody else notice that the slide with the fridge/couch is much slower than the other one when coming in? Mine is like this even when running on shore power and I have two batteries?
- SyNExplorerMy family and I are just getting started in Rving. Kids are old enough to enjoy it. We just bought our first 5th wheel. A bit old and on the ruff side, but I'm in the middle of replacing alot of internal items, as well as taking out all the carpet and replacing with what I have no idea yet? What I would like to ask all the other jayco owners----> Is there a place online where a fella can order replacement parts for the jaycos? I live 150 miles from our nearest dealer. What I mainly need is body work. Doors and panels. Fender Flares. If anyone can steer me in the the right direction, I would be greatfull.
Thanks Lonnie - Hellen_WheelsExplorerI have a 2005 jayco designer legacy. I`m still in love with it. I did go to the rv show this year and love the new RTLS you guys got. Sad to hear they haven`t fixed the valance problems. I have been in search for the hold down bracket on the bottom for the large blind.
Frank, please keep this topic going. I would like to see a link for Jayco owners like myself to go to. - loydtExplorerNo, there is a vent that runs underneath the the 5er. It is a much larger line. The extra line comes off of the "filter box" or whatever that box is?
- sanderson_66ExplorerThanks again guys for all the valuable info! Will come in handy on pick up day (about 2 weeks from now). Loydt: That extra fuel line wouldn't be a vent for the tank would it??
- loydtExplorerIt was just as loud in my '05 Designer, too. At some point I plan to look into getting it quiet.
BTW, I did manage to get my generator installed this weekend. It was surprisingly easy considered I had no help. I had it sitting on the back of a small trailer that I use to haul my 4 wheeler arond. I took the rear gate off and used the 4 wheeler to back it right under the pin and up to the front compartment. I then lowered the 5er down until they were level and then just slid the 300 plus pound sucker in the hole. A trip to Lowes for some 1 1/4" EMT conduit and fittings and the exhaust was all complete. Fired it up yesterday and it powers the entire 5er just fine. Looks like it came installed. One question I did have is why there is an extra fuel line coming off the fuel tank? - CHV_FRKExplorerIt's a little noisy in both. It's under my hallway. I was wondering the same thing as you. Is that just kinda par for the course with pumps in general or just what is used in our 5ers.
This weekend was the first time I used it other than sanitation. - M_GO_BLUE1ExplorerAnyone else think the water pump is a tad loud when running?
You can hardly hear it when in the kitchen but stand in the bathroom and bedroom and it seems to be quite loud... - TravlingmanExplorer IIWhen you are bringing the slides in, make sure the carpet goes under the sofa foot. It can "bunch up" if you are not careful.
